My sculptural illustrations make the characters come to life and engage the reader. They begin with a very simple pencil sketch. When I am happy with the design of the illustration, I blend different colors of clay together to get the right shades for the palette. Then, using a pasta machine, rolling pins, clay tools, and my hands the illustration is assembled. Upon completion the artwork is named and photographed.
